The objective of this project was to assemble collective literature data on the thermal death time kinetic parameters of pathogenic organisms in a variety of food environments and place these data on the World Wide Web for on-line access, and to determine feasibility of continued upkeep of the database. A preliminary web page (now removed) was constructed.
It consisted of a table of kinetic parameters for the thermal death time of C.botulinum collected from a preliminary search of the literature. However, it was determined that this project practically duplicated information currently available in a printed single source (ICMSF, 1996) for thermal death time kinetics that was previously unknown to the Principal Investigators. Furthermore, it was determined that further upkeep of the database in a form that would make it truly useful to investigators could not be justified based on the resources at hand. Therefore the project was terminated.
