This proposal is for the establishment of a Train-the-Trainer Certification program where the Trainers have been previously certified by a food safety course. Upon certification, Trainers will be qualified to conduct certification programs on safe food practices for entry-level food handlers with very little or no knowledge of safe food practices, using the educational materials developed in this proposal.
The Advisory Council on Food Protection Practices of Hawaii, a collaborative partnership among government, academia, the public, and the industry, took the initiative of applying for this grant to provide a positive, common-interest educational program that will minimize foodborne risks.
