Objective

The ultimate goal is to apply the fundamental knowledge to develop better strategies for disease surveillance and prevention. Specific objectives: 1). To determine host cell responses to PRRSV persistence in infected pigs; 2). To identify viral signatures associated with PRRSV persistence; 3). To establish standard diagnostic procedures for detecting PRRSV persistence.
