The main goal of this project is to organize a conference that will bring together representatives of academia, the regulatory agencies and food industry to discuss critical issues and share best practices related to validation of non-thermal processes. The specific objectives of the conference are:Objective 1: Offer participants knowledge and education on the principles, and most recent discoveries and advances in non-thermal technologies, through lectures delivered by established world experts in these technologies and some practical demonstrations.Objective 2: Provide participants with a forum of open discussion on some of the most pressing issues and challenges related to the validation and commercialization of non-thermal technologies, in the US and worldwide.
