The goal of this project is to establish a system whereby safe food handling practices become institutionalized. These skills must become imbedded as part of our culture in order to bring about behavioral change in all parts of our children's lives at school, at home and at work.
The need for food safety education has been brought about by a dynamic society which is constantly evolving and has created the unique situation in which children are becoming more responsible for the preparation of food, not only in their own homes but in the foodservice industry.
