The major goal of this project is toidentify optimal nitrogen management practices in soybean to improve seed quality using integrated manual and high throughput aerial phenotyping. The specific objectives of this project are to:1) Evaluate the effect of different doses and timing of late season N fertilization and biochar application beforeplanting on biological N fixation, soybean yield and seed composition.2)Identify the most effective HighThroughput Aerial Phenotyping (HTAP) based sensors, bands and indices to measuremorphophysiological traits and yield prediction in soybean.3)Disseminate HTAP technology to the farmers, agricultural research and extension personnel.
