Ozoning poultry litter: ozone dose and time,

Objective

The major goal of this project to evaluate the effects of ozone on pathogen reduction in poultry litter. Specific objectives are: 1) to determine ozone dose- response relationship (i.e., explosrre-response curve) to understand the survival of S. Typhimurium in poultry litter during ozoning process of poultry litter; 2) to evaluate the effects of ozone-cum-desiccation on S. Typhimurium survival in poultry litter; and 3) to compare reductions of S. enterica in poultry litter under ozone treatment and composting.
