The objectives of this research are to evaluate non-chemical alternatives to protect farm-stored grain, to evaluate strategies for reducing insect movement into storage facilities, determine effect of insecticide treatments on pest populations, and to evaluate pheromone disruption strategies as a means of insect control. Results of the research help refine strategies for management of stored-product insects through non-chemical measures, reductions in pesticide usage, and substituting new reduced-risk insecticides for older products when control through insecticides is necessary.
