Preventing Opioid Misuse In The Southeast Through Resiliency-Embedded Farm Management: Promise RFM Initiative

The overarching goals of the PROMISE-RFM Initiative include 1) Conduct formative assessment of resiliency-embedded farm management training curriculums, resiliency frameworks, and opioid misuse among Extension agents and agriculture-related professionals. 2) Develop and modify resiliency-embedded farm management trainings based on evidence-based research and formative assessment findings. 3) Train MSU-ES agents and agricultural-industry professionals (i.e., bankers/lenders, seed/equipment/chemical salespeople, and others) to deliver the resiliency-embedded farm management trainings in their respective counties. 4) MSU-ES agents provide the resiliency-embedded farm management trainings in their respective counties. 5) Evaluate the effectiveness of the resiliency-embedded farm management trainings. Through the PROMISE-RFM Initiative, MSU-ES will build resiliency-embedded farm management skills in efforts to enhance mental health and reduce opioid misuse among agriculture-related professionals and their families.
