PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF SHIGA-TOXIGENIC E. COLI IN LIVESTOCK

Objective

1) Identify sites of primary livestock infection by shiga-toxigenic Escherichia coli (STEC). 2) Identify and evaluate potential anti-STEC intervention sites (control points and techniques) to prevent or reduce the prevalence of natural STEC intestinal infections or hide surface contamination in livestock.
