Develop and evaluate environmentally safe intervention strategies that reduce or eliminate the occurrence, persistence, or transmission of pathogens in cattle, swine, and their manure. 3. Determine the baseline prevalence of Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis in beef cattle and beef processing plants.
