Rapid in Vivo Detection of Aminoglycoside Resistance Using Laser Electrospray Mass Spectrometry

Objective

Develop an analytical technique capable of detecting antibiotic resistant signature ions directly from solution without any sample preparation. This technique would allow immediate antimicrobial resistance determination and have the ability to screen greater numbers of samples in comparison to established analytical techniques.
