The overall goal of this project is to develop a real-time yield prediction system for strawberry production. Specific objectives are:To develop a real-time automated portable detection module for flower, immature and mature fruit, and canopy volume under varying sunlight conditions using images acquired in the field and create their distribution maps,To develop yield prediction models using plant measurements, statistical analysis, disease prediction models, and artificial intelligence (AI)To develop user-friendly web-based real-time processing software to visualize flower and fruit distribution and create predicted yield maps for growers and mechanical harvesters in the future.
