1) Establish sample and single nut aflatoxin distributions in order to develop sampling theories and to discover the source of aflatoxin. 2) Identify characteristics of nuts which contain aflatoxin and identify those process streams in which contaminated nuts occur; 3) Develop and demonstrate, in field conditions, real time, economically feasible sorting methods and novel equipment to remove such nuts from process streams.
