A Review of Past and Current Surveys Investigating the Microbiological Surveillance of Food

Objective

As part of its forward look for surveillance of foodborne pathogens, the Agency identified the need for a review of past and current surveys investigating the microbiological safety of food. The 8 month, commodity based, literature review identified published microbiological surveys from both UK and non-UK surveys, and point to the priorities for a rolling programme of Agency-funded surveillance.
