Section I: NE Food Safety and Quality Self-Study Program

Objective

Section I: The NE Food Safety & Quality Self-Study Program will build on the successful cooperation between the Food Safety Specialists in the six NE states and extend the base of the existing clientele by developing a food safety self-study program as an alternative training method. The materials will emphasize basic sanitation and the application of HACCP principles to specialty food processors.

Section II: The NH Food Safety & Quality project will increase the knowledge of food managers about recommended food handling and preparation practices to reduce the potential of food-borne illness. The project will also increase the food preservation knowledge of home canners.
