Key aspects of Phase-1, intended for a duration of 8 months of this program are as follows:TASK 1: Develop Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for automatic detection of meat freshness and spoilage of various meat types. We will develop new approaches to identify the temperature used for storage, along with meat freshness spoilage, while utilizing only imaging spectral information. We will develop identification models that can utilized for the prediction of the Total Viable Counts (TVC) of bacteria in meat samples.TASK 2: Develop smartphone integrated multispectral image sensor with electronically controlled filter.TASK 3: Develop transition plan/business case analysis. Primelabs will consult with government program managers and industry partners and develop a transition/business case analysis.
