STRESS PHYSIOLOGY AND OXIDATIVE STRESS OF INSECT POLLINATORS

Objective

The objectives for this research are to investigate the flight physiology of alfalfa leafcutting bees and blue orchard bees, including the development of a flight mill that can reliably measure flight parameters before and after stress events. Secondly, the effects of flight on oxidative damage to lipids and proteins will also be investigated in this and other insects of economic importance.
