Objective

The CRWAD is a scientific meeting that is held annually from Sunday through Tuesday during the first or second week of November or December. Attendance is limited to members, participants on the program, and guests invited by the council. The average attendance is 500-600 with 325 presentations. The annual CRWAD meeting is the only conference in North America that has an oral and poster presentation format in animal disease and food safety research. <P>The conference instills members with the following: 1) Provides education for, and stimulates the creation of ideas in the minds of investigators of animal disease and food safety; 2) A forum for the exchange of information on basic and applied mechanisms of diseases from a broad discipline base; 3) A meeting which brings together true researchers in all the disciplines which make up Veterinary Medicine, and 4) Fosters interactions between those who have a primary focus on animal pathogens, and other national and international investigators whose techniques and ideas may be valuable in resolving problems in animal diseases.
