The overarching goal of this conference is to provide a global forum for scientists, engineers, practitioners, technology providers, agricultural representatives, and policy makers that work across the diverse and transdisciplinary aspects of the groundwater-agriculture nexus to share their experiences, provide networking opportunities, and to stimulate a productive dialogue on how to further bring together this global community to more efficiently and effectively address the looming and continuing challenges to sustainably manage groundwater supplies and quality as an essential pillar for food production and healthy rural livelihoods. The conference provides a forum where local knowledge and experiences is synthesized so participants learn from each other and bring this knowledge back to their local, regional, or national communities.
