UTILIZING PHYSIOLOGICAL AGROECOLOGY TO INCREASE STRESS RESILIENCE IN FLORIDA CROPPING SYSTEMS.

Objective

Identify, describe, and quantify crop root system architectures that are associated with resilience to environmental stress including water and nutrient stress.Quantify the crop responses to water deficit stress on crop physiological mechanisms and determine the link to impacts on seed quality, nutritional characteristics, and mycotoxin production.Evaluate the variability in response to primed acclimation among peanut breeding lines in the University of Florida program.
