The New England Region will continue to collaborate to provide the latest food safety information and education to specialty food producers, food handlers and consumers strengthening the network established in previous years. Vermonters working with the hungry and farmers markets have identified a need for information and education on food safety and preservation. Workshops and low-literacy materials will be developed for this audience in collaboration with NH, ME, and CT. Vermont, in collaboration with NH,will expand and update efforts initiated with SAFE I and SAFE II projects.Youth in New England will benefit from food safety and food preservation materials developed by CT and VT.
