Objective

Support for an international conference meeting entitled "Virulence Mechanisms of Bacterial Pathogens," September 6-8, 2006, held by Institute for International Cooperation in Animal Biologics (IICAB), at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. The objective of this meeting is to discuss the latest research related to bacterial pathogens in the host. The mechanisms of host pathogens interactions will also be covered.

Approach: This meeting will foster discussion and interaction between researchers, diagnosticians, practitioners and biologics company employees regarding the establishment of international standards in animal biologics. The organizing Committee anticipates approximately 200-250 attendees from the United States and around the world.
