Banks to Marshall, August 28, 1793

Description

Sir Joseph Banks to [Moses] Marshall, August 28, 1793, introducing a German friend, the Baron Itzenplitz, saying that "he may have it in his Power to recommend you to much business in Germany." The letter is addressed on the outer leaf simply to "Mr. Marshall," probably intended for Humphry's nephew, Moses, who was handling much of his uncle's business at this time. The transcription is at the bottom of page 565 of Darlington's Memorials.
